Testing EMS suits properly isn’t cheap, and honest comparisons mean testing multiple brands side by side rather than relying on manufacturer claims. Donations let us cover the suits people are actually asking about, including older or discontinued models still in use today, rather than limiting our reviews to whatever a few brands choose to send us.
The EMS market has moved quickly over the past decade. Studio-grade systems have shrunk into wireless home suits, and control apps have replaced wired remotes. Older devices remain useful to us: they show how the category has matured and where marketing claims have outpaced real-world performance. Testing across generations also shows us how quality holds up over time, giving users an honest picture of durability, not just day-one performance.
We rely solely on donated equipment for our testing. Donated suits may be tested, measured, photographed, compared against other units, and featured in reviews, buying guides, and other educational or editorial content. Instead of letting a working device gather dust, you can help other people make better, safer decisions about EMS training gear.

We generally don’t — donations are one-way, so please only send a device if you’re comfortable not getting it back. If you do need a device returned, let us know before shipping and we’ll tell you whether that’s possible.
Where possible, we pass them along to responsible resellers, repair hobbyists, or e-waste recyclers. We are not an electronics recycling center ourselves.
